What is a coupon code?
A coupon code is a code a merchant may accept at checkout to apply a discount or another stated benefit. Conditions such as minimum spend, product eligibility, region and expiry can affect whether it applies.
How does CouponVerity verify a coupon?
We add a real item to the cart at the store’s checkout, apply the code and record whether the total changes. We publish what we saw: the cart, the total and a screenshot. A code is labelled Verified only when we also publish a short checkout clip and a test date. With only a screenshot it is labelled Tested, and with no test it is labelled Not tested yet. After 30 days a clip no longer counts and the offer is marked Recheck needed.
What is a CouponVerity exclusive code?
An exclusive code is issued to CouponVerity readers. Exclusive is a separate label from Verified: an exclusive code is Verified only when we have published a checkout clip for it.
Do coupon codes always work?
No. Merchant rules can change, codes can expire, and some offers are limited by account, region, product or order value. Always confirm the final checkout total before purchasing.
Why might a coupon fail?
Common reasons include expiry, minimum-spend rules, excluded products, first-order or account restrictions, regional limits, or a merchant changing the promotion.
